Rustambek Urokov
I am in my final year at New Uzbekistan University in Tashkent, studying economics and data science, and I work as a machine learning intern at Openbank.
Most of what I do is evaluation. I build the held-out protocol for a protein or sequence model, and then I check whether the number everyone reports actually measures what it claims to. Last time it did not. A plain Pfam-domain baseline beat the model I had built to beat it, so that is what I published, instead of hunting for the subgroup where my model came out ahead. A second manuscript is under review.
The papers and the write-ups are below, and the CV has everything else.
